Data Protection

Following the Data Protection Act 1998, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 came into force on 25 May 2018. It applies to anyone who processes, stores or is the subject of personal data.

In collecting, using, storing and disposing of data, the Academy will comply with the requirements of the GDPR that govern the processing of personal data. Under these requirements, information will be collected and used fairly, stored safely and not be disclosed to any other person where to do so would be in breach of those requirements or would otherwise be unlawful.

We take very seriously our obligations in regard to handling the personal data of our pupils and their families. In particular, we have well-established protocols for ensuring that you are able to access the data we hold on you in line with your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation.
