Site Reopened Following Snow and Ice

NGA will reopen to vulnerable pupils, the children of critical workers and the alternative curriculum group following closure due to snow and ice.

Update: Monday 25 January 2021

NGA will reopen for vulnerable pupils, the children of critical workers (that have already had a place confirmed) and children in the alternative curriculum group on Tuesday 26 January 2021.

Announcement: Sunday 24 January 2021

NGA will be closed to all pupils and staff on Monday 25 January 2021

The decision has been made due to the combination of snow on Sunday 24 January and the freezing temperatures expected overnight, meaning that travel to the site and around the site is likely to be treacherous.

We know this will make things more challenging for some families who are using our provision for vulnerable pupils and the children of key workers, which is why we made the decision as early as possible to try and give as much notice as possible.

These families were informed early on Sunday evening via email and text message.

Home Learning

Home Learning will continue for all pupils as usual. However, there is an increased chance that some teachers will not be able to use critical worker provision at their own children's school. As a result, they may not be able to be present throughout a lesson, but learning and tasks will still be set using resources such as Oak National Academy.

Reopening

We will keep a close eye on the weather, but we are currently expecting to reopen on Tuesday 26 January 2021.

Covid-19 Testing

We will delay the start of our Covid-19 testing until Tuesday as well (for those that have consented).
