Medical Needs

Prescription and non-prescription medicines will only be administered at school:

  • When it would be detrimental to the pupil’s health or school attendance not to do so and

  • Where we have parents’ written consent (see forms below).

We have given our forms 'friendly names' so they are easier to interpret.

  • Form A: Pupil self-administration (kept in the pupil's bag) - inhalers, epi-pens, insulin pens / pumps.

  • Form B: Help me administer my prescription medication - for when your child may need help with their prescription medicine.

  • Form C: Pupil self-administration (secure storage) - for when your child's medicine needs to be stored securely on school site.

Please see below for our Trust policy on supporting children with medical conditions.
